Augusta Raurica is located on the River Rhine in the communities of Augst (Canton Basel-Landschaft) and Kaiseraugst (Canton Argovia), 10 km east of Basle in the northwest of Switzerland, near the border triangle of France, Germany and Switzerland.

- Line 83 from Liestal (via Arisdorf) to the stop Schwarzacker (Augst): 2 minutes walk to the domestic animal park of Augusta Raurica, 10 minutes to the Museum and the central sights.
