| Podium temple on the Schönbühl hill | |
| Ascent to the gods
A sizeable flight of steps lead from the theatre to the podium of a once magnificent temple complex. The podium temple was erected above earlier Gallo-Roman square temples and modelled on Mediterranean examples. It was built in AD 50-75, at the same time as the theatre on the opposite side. |
