The Special Archaeology Day

Does your class have a special interest in archaeology? Then we have just the thing for you! Our Archaeology Day lets you see what a normal working day is like for the archaeologists at Augusta Raurica. After a morning on the dig, we’ll head off to the finds department and the restoration laboratory and finish up by discussing how an archaeological analysis is carried out.
School level: From year 11 and higher (from approx. 16 years old)
Size of group: 15 students max. + 1 adult minder
Dates: 21st, 22nd, 23rd of June 2016
Starting times: From 9.00 AM until 16.30 PM
Meeting point: The blue container next to the animal park
Terminal point: Museum
Bring: Good shoes, Sun/Rain protection, food, Drinking water is available
Cost: CHF 400.– (payment via bill)
Please note: The participation requires a great interest in archaeology.
Insurance is concern of the participants.
