Perfumery the Roman way: blend your own fragrance
Perfumes have an immediate and direct effect on our senses. Back in ancient times, aromatic incenses were offered to the gods and perfume was lavishly used and enjoyed by ordinary people. Body lotions, too, are not a modern invention. But how did the fragrances get into the perfume bottles? After an informative tour of the baths in the Roman House, you will be introduced to the flowers, herbs and types of wood which were basic ingredients of ancient perfumes. Why not try your hand at creating your own fragrance and take it home with you in a decorative perfume bottle?
This activity (tour or workshop) will be conducted in German. This offer may be available in English on request. Please contact our visitor service, tel. +41 (0)61 552 22 22 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
