Augusta Raurica's archaeological depot
The tour offers exciting insights into the challenging process of storing the extensive collection.
Since 2023, the 2 million inventoried finds from Augusta Raurica have finally been united under one roof. The new Collections Centre brings together Roman artefacts made from a wide variety of materials – from monumental gravestones to small shards of glass. All these artefact types have different storage and climatic requirements. On this exciting guided tour, we will learn how this is achieved in the depot and about the system used to navigate it!
