Workshop

Children's birthday party: Crockery - Stories. Making pots in the Romans way

At the beginning of this special birthday workshop, the children will learn about the different ways clay was processed in ancient times.

Then every child can model his or her own pot or create a version of a small Roman statuette. These artworks can be taken home afterwards. The children can also try their hand at the broken sherd-puzzle. In addition, a potter will demonstrate how – as if by a magic – a pot is formed on the potters-wheel. And of course there will be a little surprise for the birthday child at the end.
