Admission to the Roman festival is free for IV recipients and their accompanying person.

Parking
Parking spaces are available for you near the festival grounds: Google Maps.
The parking lot is located on a meadow. The walk to the festival grounds takes approx. 2 minutes.

Accessibility of the festival site
Information on the nature of the festival site can be found here.
The theatre is wheelchair accessible.
There are several wheelchair-accessible toilets on the site. Their location is marked on the festival map.
With insieme Basel to the Roman Festival
The insieme Basel leisure center is organizing a guided tour for people with disabilities at the Roman Festival on Saturday, 30 August from 13:00-17:00.
The program is suitable for wheelchair users and is accompanied and supervised by insieme employees.
Costs: Admission and participation is free for people with IV. Nevertheless, take about CHF 25 with you for a snack. If you wish, take an additional CHF 30 for a souvenir.
Schedule:
13.00 Meet in front of the wheelchair-accessible parking lot (see map)13.15 – 15.00 we admire Roman craftsmen, taste Roman food and drink and immerse ourselves in the world of the ancient Romans.
15.00 – 16.00 we watch the pompa followed by a performance of gladiator fights and dances.
17.00 We say goodbye to each other again in the wheelchair-accessible parking lot.

Programme
- 11.00: Meeting point bronze city model at the Buvette LUCI. Followed by a joint tour of the festival site.
- 12.30: TABERNA – A look at the restoration: guided tour
- Sat 15.30 / Sun 15.15: PANEM ET CIRCENSES. Great spectacle in the theater with gladiator fights and dances.
Participation in the program is free of charge. The regular admission prices apply. Admission is free for people with an IV card.
Please note
- The meeting point is inside the festival grounds.
- Arrive approx. 20 minutes early for the entrance checks.
- During the lunch break you are responsible for your own catering.
The number of places is limited, we recommend early registration.
