Bread Baking: From grain to Roman bread

How was grain processed into bread 2000 years ago? You will experience this together step by step as you make a tasty loaf in the Roman way. Firstly you will grind the grain in a Roman stone mill before kneading and shaping the dough according to your own ideas. Then the loaves will be placed into the wood stove and finally you can take a warm and fragrant loaf home with you.
Duration: 1.5 hours
Language: german (english, french on request)
Dates: 1. April to 13. October
Group size: maximum of 20 people
Meeting point: Museum's reception
Cost: CHF 250.- (payment at the museum)
Please note: Wear an apron or clothes that can get dirty. In cool weather we recommend warm clothes.
