The silver treasure up close

The fate of one of the most important hoards of Roman silver found anywhere in the world couldn’t be more exciting! After a short introduction, we’ll dive into its exceptional history. Why was the precious silver buried and never dug up again? How did its highly adventurous discovery come about? To whom had the magnificent treasure belonged? Join us to take a look at the richly decorated silver objects and learn exciting things about ancient mythology, Roman coinage, Roman eating habits and ancient craft techniques.
