A look inside a current excavation
The excavation teams from Augst (BL) and Kaiseraugst (AG) will give an insight into their work to the interested public.
This year, the excavation team from Augst is working on the edge of the upper town of Augusta Raurica, in a residential area with a view of several temples and an amphitheatre nearby. Visitors can observe the excavation from the edge of the excavation and discover archaeological structures. They are accompanied by archaeologists.
PLEASE NOTE: Meeting point is at the entrance to the excavation. Please do not enter the excavation unaccompanied. Good footwear and sure-footedness are prerequisites for the visit.
