Videos and photography for private purposes are permitted, both in the grounds and inside the museum. Tripods must not be used in the museum.

Drone flights above the grounds of Augusta Raurica are subject to Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) regulations.

• Augusta Raurica is located in the middle of a residential area. You must respect the privacy of other people when flying in the open and specific categories. Strangers may not be filmed or photographed, and drones may not be flown low over private property.
• For safety reasons, flying over bystanders is only permitted under specific conditions.
• A drone in the open category may only be flown within visual line of sight.
• Flying over assemblies of people is prohibited in the open category. Assemblies are defined as any large number of people standing so close together that it is almost impossible for a single person to move away and not be part of the assembly. This applies in particular to the Roman festival and events in the Roman Theatre.
