Temporary Museum Closure
The Augusta Raurica Museum will temporarily close its exhibition room from November 2023. The Roman House remains open to the public and free of charge.
The museum's exhibition room is to undergo renovation. As a result, the museum housing the silver treasure exhibition and the «Under the Magnifying Glass – In search of a Roman life story» special exhibition will be closed from 1 November 2023 until early summer 2024.
You are welcome to visit the Roman House for free during the renovation. The outdoor areas, their sights and the animal park will remain open, and there will be numerous workshops, guided tours and events going on.
