A look behind the scenes for those interested in archaeology.
Since 2023, the 2 million inventoried finds from Augusta Raurica have finally been united under one roof. The new Collections Centre brings together Roman artefacts made from a wide variety of materials – from monumental gravestones to small shards of glass. The tour offers exciting insights into the challenging task of storing the extensive collection of Roman artifacts.

The rooms of the depot can be experienced through temperature differences, distances and by hearing.

Impaired mobility
The archaeological depot was built to the latest wheelchair-accessible standards and opened in 2023. A lift and wheelchair-accessible toilets are available. All paths are paved and levelled.
