The museum

More than 2 million finds are in storage at Augusta Raurica. A selection of them are on display at the Museum. They attest to the people who once lived here and show their tastes, their appreciation for the practical and their sense of humour.

The exhibitions at the museum provide you with exciting background information. We take great care to ensure that there is something for everyone – for instance by displaying some of the objects at eye level especially for our younger visitors. There is always a lot to discover at the museum. It is definitely worth visiting.
