Experience Roman cuisine: Autumn treats
Explore the many flavours of Roman food.
Autumn brings colourful woodlands, mushrooms, and the hunt for roe deer, stag, or wild boar. Already 2000 years ago, the Romans appreciated this season and left behind some exquisite seasonal recipes for us to enjoy. In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to try your hand at Roman autumn cooking in a group.
In addition to fascinating historical context, you can expect a buffet of Roman delicacies which we prepare together. We will cook in Augusta Raurica's traditional bakery – using fire and no electricity.
